Growing up in a village in germany I have always been surrounded by animals. the love I have for all creatures is reflected in my work.

I now live in the country, in australia and my subject matter predominantly remains the same. In my art I prefer to use real or fictional animals to express my thoughts and feelings about our relationship with the world.

The aim I pursue is to give a sense of connection with our fellow beings and produce art that inspire unity with all creation.

A sense of humour and lightheartedness are essential to a large part of my works, the titles can be thought provoking, so gives the viewer something to ponder over.

I often do small series of a particular style, working in mixed media, oil, acylic on canvas, wood or plaster, depending on what medium presents itself as most fitting to the desired effect.
