Born in 1977, Skye was raised in the bohemian beach culture of Byron Bay. Growing up with parents involved in design and fashion, Skye was often surrounded by artists, musicians and other creative’s, who encouraged her creativity from an early age.
Majoring in painting, Skye has a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from Curtin University of Technology, Perth. She has also studied fine arts at Tafe and is accomplished in life drawing. Skye has exhibited in local and regional galleries, been published in journals and has completed public mural works.
Skye’s work is diverse both thematically and stylistically and reflects her active engagement with the world around her. Influenced by music, film, literature, philosophy and art, Skye is interested in the universal themes of human experience and how it is reflected in the contemporary world.
